It's official.. 1 in 100, or 1 in 58 boys have an ASD

This article from Age of Autism talks about how the CDC chose to make this announcement late on a Friday afternoon and is still not alarmed by the constantly rising autism numbers. Will they become alarmed before it's one in twenty boys???

It is so wonderful to hear that you knew enough to refuse the shot. From what I have heard, in some hospitals you cannot leave your newborn unattended at all, or they will give the shot when you aren't there. Your children are lucky to have such a wonderful, alert Mommy!

I wanted to comment on the post you wrote on Sunday, September 20, 2009. I was just on babycenter (Im pg) talking to Moms about the flu shot...when I told them about the link to autism they slammed me..saying that I was overly protective..I have learned that some people will just have to learn themselves...oh well!

It is very sad, and scary. So many people believe everything an 'expert' tells them without thinking it through for themselves. If anyone else came up to them and said they wanted to inject the baby with formaldehyde, aluminum, and mercury, they would call the police. But, because it's supposed to be safe, few people even give it a second thought.

What some people don't realize is that even the "thimerisol-free" version of the shot still has thimerisol in trace amounts. So that an allergy to mercury is considered a reason to not get any flu shot. So, who is NOT allergic to mercury????
